Call for the International Criminal Prosecution of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin
To all governments of the world, to institutions of international law, and to all people who value justice, human dignity, and peace:
We, the undersigned citizens of the world, stand united in our unwavering demand for accountability, truth, and justice. As members of the global human community, we refuse to remain silent in the face of atrocity, tyranny, and impunity.
We call upon the International Criminal Court, the United Nations, national governments, and all international legal bodies to initiate and support the fair, transparent, and lawful trial of Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, President of the Russian Federation, for the following grave crimes against international law and humanity:
Charges to be Investigated and Prosecuted:
-
Incitement of War and Repression in the North Caucasus
– For the brutal suppression, militarization, and human rights abuses inflicted upon the people of Chechnya and the wider Caucasus region. -
Aggression and War Crimes in Syria
– For complicity in and orchestration of military campaigns resulting in mass civilian casualties, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and the targeting of humanitarian resources during Russia’s involvement in the Syrian conflict. -
Support and Arming of Terrorist Organization Hamas
– For materially and diplomatically enabling Hamas, a group responsible for taking the people of Gaza hostage under tyranny, using them as human shields, and perpetuating violence in the Middle East. -
Illegal Annexation of Crimea and Eastern Ukraine
– For violating Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity by annexing Crimea in 2014 and backing proxy wars and occupation in Donbas, in direct contravention of international law. -
War of Aggression and Genocide in Ukraine
– For initiating and directing a full-scale invasion of Ukraine beginning in 2022, resulting in the deaths of tens of thousands, mass displacement, torture, forced deportation of children, and targeting of civilian infrastructure—amounting to war crimes and acts of genocide. -
Incitement of Russian Citizens to Slavery and Murder
– For systematically manipulating Russian citizens through state propaganda, coercion, and economic hardship into enlisting for war under false pretenses, turning them into instruments of foreign aggression and human suffering.
We Demand:
- That Vladimir Putin be held individually accountable under international criminal law.
- That governments cease recognition of any immunity related to his office and assist in his arrest and extradition.
- That victims and survivors of these crimes be heard, supported, and given justice.
- That international law be applied without fear, bias, or exception, regardless of status, power, or political influence.
Why It Matters:
To allow such acts to go unpunished is to give permission to tyranny everywhere. This is not only a legal issue—it is a moral and civilizational one. The future of international law, the authority of the United Nations Charter, and the hope for peaceful coexistence depend on our collective resolve to uphold truth and justice.
We therefore urge all people of conscience, all democratic governments, and all international legal institutions to act now.
Silence is complicity. Justice delayed is justice denied. Let us not be remembered as bystanders. Let us be remembered as defenders of humanity.
